About Us

Freshly Greated works with local people just like you to create fun, exciting, and creative experiences in and around Great Yarmouth.

We’re excited to be a new creative adventure of, by and for the people of Great Yarmouth as a new Creative People & Places project, funded by Arts Council England and led by the local community with support from Voluntary Norfolk, Out There Arts, Creative Collisions, Jays UK Ltd and Great Yarmouth Borough Council.

Take a look at our Events tab to see what experiences we have coming up or find out how you can get involved by contacting one of our lovely Freshly Greated team here.

Our 10 year vision:

Our Guiding Principles

  • Inclusion
We will work to remove barriers for engagement, and be conscious of our own biases and cultural
understandings to ensure all communities feel welcomed and comfortable engaging with us. We will create
space where different perspectives are valued.

  • Active research
This is a participatory programme requiring active and ongoing learning which we will freely share and respond
    to.

  • Art and culture where people are
Many of our target audience are economically challenged and the burden of travelling to an arts experience
creates a barrier for many. We will regularly make art happen where people are.
All art, culture, and creativity is valid
We are led by the belief that there is no ‘correct’ or ‘valid’ type of arts and cultural experience. We are guided
by the principle that if art and cultural experiences ‘do something to you’, they have value.
